Magazine Project Genre Research - Shape Magazine

  The cover layout of the magazine "Shape" has bright colors and bold fonts. The title of the magazine is at the very top and a famous artist is on the cover covering the title. The cover also has small headings that are bold then what it's about underneath. This particular magazine is all about women's health. The articles inside  discuss some health facts as well as tips. The first article appears about 13 pages in, everything else are ads.
    Most of the advertisements are based on women's health. All the ads benefit the magazine because it brings in new clients. The first 12 pages are just ads. On the actual cover of the magazine there is a picture of Emma Roberts, on the table on contents there is another picture of Emma but in a different setting, pose, and clothes.
   The distribution number is roughly 1.5 million. Shape has not won any awards that i could find but it is own as THE fitness magazine for women and it is highly read.
