CCR Draft #1

How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?

Throughout my research i looked at many magazines to determine my use of conventions. I was able to mimic the style of many fashion magazines and the formats to follow the use of conventions. For my cover, i followed the format of teen vogue when creating my title. I named my magazine Belle in white with a cursive font and slanted a little bit to give it a more realistic fashion magazine style. another way i used conventions was the way i styled my model and how i positioned her. When taking my cover photo, together, we decided to go somewhere that was very picturesque with modern architecture. Cammy, my model is seen posed more towards the left side of my cover with all the subtitles around the model. The subtitles are a bit bigger than the little sneak preview underneath. I utilized wordart to make my fonts match many influential fashion magazines.
Finally, i decided to include some form of branding in the magazine to match the style of other magazines. These conventions helped with the marketing process and the distribution process. The layout  of the table of contents mimicked many popular magazines and i made it very modern to appeal to younger ages. The 2 page article spread mimicked the layout of many fashion magazines as well, by including pictures, interviews, and the article itself.
